The Gotoh Museum 五島美術館

The Gotoh Museum 五島美術館 was founded by Gotoh Keita 五島慶太(1882-1959) in 1960.

Many traditional works of Japanese and Far Eastern art were collected during half his lifetime.

One of the most astonishing art works is the illustrated Hand scroll of the Tale of Genji 源氏物語絵巻

which is a national treasure.
