Eccentric Paintings from 江戸 EDO period at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

This exhibition is based on the book " Lineage of Eccentrics" published in 1970

by art historian Nobuo Tsuji ( b.1932） Appearing in one venue will be outstanding

major works by eight artists:

伊藤若冲: Ito Jakuchu 1716-1800

曽我蕭白: Soga Shohaku 1730-1781

長澤芦雪: Nagasawa Rosetsu 1754-1799

狩野山雪: Kano Sansetsu 1590-1651

岩佐又兵衛: Iwasa Matabei 1578-1650

鈴木其一: Suzuki Kiichi 1796-1858

歌川国芳: Utagawa Kuniyoshi 1796-1858

白隠慧鶴: Hakuin Ekaku 1685-1768
